Marketing Features Added

It is our pleasure to announce the availability of Google Base uploads for your listings! In addition, we've improved tracking for all of your marketing efforts through RESMET. You can now download email marketing, google base, and web activity through a new marketing tab.

SuperUsers can now download a list of all owners and current residents directly into Excel to create mailing labels (use the built-in Excel mail merge tool), and generate other reports.

Your web visitors will now be able to select all or unselect all of the areas and neighborhoods with one click. This should make it easier for them to optimize their search.

We had planned to implement Craig's List Automation but it has proved to be quite complex -- stay tuned as we continue this effort.

In order to enable Google Base uploads, you will need to visit the marketing tab and turn this feature on.

We know that you have been eagerly awaiting this update and other new features and fixes too! Thanks for your patience here and we'll now turn our attention to the outstanding updates for the existing parts of RESMET.

System Upgrade

Hello all,

We rolled out a system upgrade over the weekend that simplifies our update rollout process significantly.

We also rolled out fixes for the issues we have been facing with Sign In.
- Norton Antivirus should no longer be able to completely block access to RESMET
- You shouldn't have to log in twice!

The select a featured photo on the marketing tab more clearly identifies which photograph is actually featured!

The generation of leases should be working properly again!

Trouble Connecting to RESMET

Some of you may be experiencing trouble connecting to RESMET. We made some DNS changes over the weekend and they take 24 - 48 hours to propogate throughout the Internet. You'll probably be able to access it just fine tomorrow.

Until then, you may access RESMET right NOW using http://82.165.148.81

Reporting and Email Profile Update

Over the last week we've rolled out a significant number of updates and new features. Here are the major ones:

  • Listing reports now display the listing agent (remember to print in landscape mode) -- with the recently added excel exporting feature, now you can create a list of active sales listings in a snap!
  • Now generate an apartment condition statement and improved lease and rent & security deposit receipt.
  • Email profiles are back!

Excel reporting and Firefox Support (BETA)

Today's update addressed some nagging issues and broadened support for RESMET:

  • Lease generation has been simplified -- no more dealing with the popup blocker and hidden menus. Now you can save to desktop or open in Word directly.
  • The available listings report can now be downloaded into Excel for easy manipulation
  • We have begun BETA testing for Firefox (and MAC) support -- send us any issues you encounter no matter how small.
  • Heat and Hot Water Included displays on the Detail tab now display Yes or No instead of 0 or 1
  • Adding properties built before 1900 will no longer cause a site error

Improved search, bedroom flexibility, and some more fixes!

Today we're deploying a bunch of improvements to the property search tool. The improvements yield the following benefits:

  • NEW -- Search by Unit
  • The bedroom search (and the entry field in 'Change Details') is now a text field so you can enter as many bedrooms as you'd like. You may enter 'Studio', 'Loft' or decimal values (like 2 or 2.5)

Creating 'auto email profiles' for contacts isn't working right now. We had to turn it off to resolve another issue. Of course, you can still add and edit contacts AND their email addresses!

    RESMET Performance and Availability Updates

This week we made several key enhancements:

  • Searching for active rental and sale listings will be much faster!
  • Listing searches are now sorted by building number by default.
  • You can now enter any number of months for the lease term and have it show up on the auto-generated lease
  • You can now edit 'historical' listings. These are listings on the availability tab that are Rented, Sold, or Off Market. This is useful if you have to correct rental listing information before printing a lease.

UPDATE: Pricing issue is now fixed

Our next batch of updates plan to address the 'Fundamentals' and 'Details' tabs. We hope to make them more user-friendly and also have the Overview page additionally list the information currently accessible on 'details'.

    RESMET Update

Good morning, we deployed an update for RESMET that addresses the following:

  • After hitting the save button, it sometimes appeared that property information was not saved. This was due to Internet Explorer caching the page and not refreshing after the info was updated. IE will no longer cache property pages so you are always looking at the latest data (just remember to hit save!)
  • The save button is more visible. We added a tip to this effect on the properties page. When adding/editing property information the lower pane will automatically expand so that the save button is always visible.
  • The listing broker now appears on the property overview
  • The logo no appears with the correct dimensions
  • The overview page and detail pages can now be printed via a newly added print icon. We'll be adding the detail page info to the overview in the near future so that you can have all key info in one place.
  • The add/edit availability screen has been rearranged a bit so that you don't have to scroll to see the Save button!

As usual, direct any questions to support@resmet.com

    Another slew of fixes

This time we addressed some of the pending availability bugs. The listing broker and co-broke values should now appear on the availability summary view.

We removed the ANY option from the key report; selecting multiple statuses currently doesn't work. You may only select one status at a time; we're working on a fix here.

Bug fixes & improvements deployed today

RESMET has been updated with some bug fixes and search improvements:

  • Active listing report is now sorted by price
  • Active rentals, active sales, & your entire database are now directly accessible from properties search (we replaced the checkbox and radio buttons with just one set of radio buttons)
  • Condo fee, taxes, security, first month, last month, commission, and comments are no longer required fields
  • Certain properties that could not be selected in the search results should now be accessible (this was only a problem for some users)
  • Listing comments are no longer displayed on the overview page, use the show procedure field for comments you need others to see regularly and use the listing comments field for comments you need when closing a deal
  • The detail screen has been reorganized so the comments and key information has it's own area (the save button is more accessible now too)
  • Comments from the detail screen are now displayed on the overview page.

We're continuing to work on the memory leak and improving search performance. Please bear with us until these updates are completed.
