Norton Internet Security Blocks RESMET Popups

Norton's most recent versions of Internet Security block Internet Explorer popups. This can often also prevent users from logging into RESMET!

If you are experiencing trouble getting into RESMET and think it may be due to a popup blocker, here are some tips:

Disable Norton Internet Security Popup Blocking:
1. In the main Norton Internet Security window, click Norton Antispam
2. Click Pop-up Blocking > Turn Off

Disable Internet Explorer Popup Blocking:
1. Go to the Tools -> Pop-up Blocker menu
2. Select the Turn Off Pop-up Blocker option

Note: Once you have configured Ad Blocking or Pop-up Blocking, information may still be blocked on the Web site. This may be because the Web site information is being stored in your Web browser's cache. You must clear the cache for the changes to work.

To clear the cache in Internet Explorer:

 1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools > Internet Options.
3. Click Delete Cookies.
4. When you see the prompt "Delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet File folder?" click OK.
5. Click Clear History.
6. When you see the prompt "Are you sure you want Windows to delete your history of visited Web sites?" click Yes.
7. Click OK.

Marketing Features Added

It is our pleasure to announce the availability of Google Base uploads for your listings! In addition, we've improved tracking for all of your marketing efforts through RESMET. You can now download email marketing, google base, and web activity through a new marketing tab.

SuperUsers can now download a list of all owners and current residents directly into Excel to create mailing labels (use the built-in Excel mail merge tool), and generate other reports.

Your web visitors will now be able to select all or unselect all of the areas and neighborhoods with one click. This should make it easier for them to optimize their search.

We had planned to implement Craig's List Automation but it has proved to be quite complex -- stay tuned as we continue this effort.

In order to enable Google Base uploads, you will need to visit the marketing tab and turn this feature on.

We know that you have been eagerly awaiting this update and other new features and fixes too! Thanks for your patience here and we'll now turn our attention to the outstanding updates for the existing parts of RESMET.

Detail screen changes!

We introduced a change that combined the detail and fundamental screens and improved the layout for easy reading.

You'll notice that all of your old information is still displayed! The old detail information is on the left (the key information is still managed on the detail screen but is on the right side now. The fundamental information is on the right.

The two links up top:
"Change Details & Description" -- goes to the old Change Details page. You can update the details for the property, description, and key information.

"Change Location & Fundamentals" -- goes to the old Change Fundamentals page. You can update the fundamentals and location information for this property.

Hello all,

We rolled out a system upgrade over the weekend that simplifies our update rollout process significantly.

We also rolled out fixes for the issues we have been facing with Sign In.
- You shouldn't have to log in twice!

The select a featured photo on the marketing tab more clearly identifies which photograph is actually featured!

How does the neighborhood search work?

Simply separate the list of neighborhoods by commas and RESMET will return all properties with neighborhoods that match.

The match is exact; i.e. searching for "Bay" will not return properties in "Back Bay" or "Bayside".

What is a Super User?

Only Super Users can access the settings tab. The settings tab allows you to add, modify, and remove users, areas, and neighborhoods. By default we give the initial RESMET account Super User priveleges.

Be careful when removing Super User priveleges; if you remove these priveleges from every user then noone will be able to access the settings tab anymore!

Today's update addressed some nagging issues and broadened support for RESMET:

Lease generation has been simplified -- no more dealing with the popup blocker and hidden menus. Now you can save to desktop or open in Word directly.

How can I search by Address?

The address search field allows you to search by building number or street name.

Just enter any one of the above criteria in the 'Address...' search field and all properties matching your criteria will appear.

Advanced
You can also get more results by using the "Advanced" option for address searches. The advanced option will return all properties that have a street that contains your criteria. Without the advanced search, only results that start with your criteria are returned!

The advanced search is a great way to find properties that may not be coming up because of a spelling error or inconsistent use of an abbreviation; e.g. St. or Saint.
